During the first visit to the dentist, the patient’s teeth are scanned using a scanner, which creates an accurate 3D image of the teeth and mouth.
The dentist uses CAD software to design the veneers. He or she can customise their shape, size, colour and other features to fit the patient’s teeth perfectly.
Once the design is completed, the data is transferred to a computer that controls a numerical milling machine. The milling machine mills the ceramic block veneers based on the exact specifications created in the design stage.
In the final stage, the veneers are permanently bonded to the patient’s teeth using a special cement.
